Keith Richardson

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Poplar Hill Christian Church, (Disciples of Christ), 1621 Poplar Hill Drive, Cross, South Carolina, with the Reverend Deveta Smith-Brown, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Poplar Hill Cemetery.

Keith Richardson, the son of Mr. Leonard and Evangelist Lula B. Richardson, and the grandson of the late Elder James and Mrs. Daisy Bell Brown, was born on December 21, 1978 at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. He entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 9, 2013.

Keith grew up in the Sandridge Community of Berkeley County and attended Cross Elementary School. He was a graduate of Cross High School. Keith loved athletics and ran cross county track during his high school career. He attended Johnson and Wales University and received an Associate Degree in culinary arts. He was a chef at heart, and his favorite pass-time was preparing special dishes for the family.

Keith was employed by Staff Mark Agency and Chipton Ross.

Keith was an active member of the Poplar Hill Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), where he was baptized at an early age. He served with the Sunbeam and Youth Choirs, and he was the church drummer for several years.

He leaves to cherish beautiful precious memories: His wife, Mrs. Nidia Gonzalez-Richardson, of the home; four children, Antonio Moore, Logan O'Brien Richardson, Carlos Richardson and Keith Omari Richardson, all of the home; his parents, Mr. Leonard and Evangelist Lula B. Richardson, of Ridgeville, South Carolina; one sister, Ms. Lekandra Richardson, of New Bern, North Carolina; two brothers, Staff Sergeant Eric (Chafrena) Richardson, of North Charleston, South Carolina and Mr. Nathaniel Richardson, of Ridgeville, South Carolina; mother and father-in-law, Mr. Herman and Maricela Campbell, Sr. of James Island, South Carolina; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mr. Jorge (Abril) Mendoza, Mr. Louis Carlos Martinez, both of Mexico, Mr. Herman L. Campbell, Jr. of Texas, Mr. Fulvio (Hanna) Gonzalez-Flores, of California, Mr. Justin Campbell, Ms. Chilsey Campbell, both of North Charleston, South Carolina; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Ida Nelson, of Cross, South Carolina; uncles and aunts, Henry (Virginia) Peace, of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, Elder Nathaniel (Rev Deveta) Brown, Rev. Joseph (Pamela) Brown, Rev. Al Paul (Teresa) Brown, all of Ridgeville, South Carolina, Bishop Melvin (Jean) Brown, of Cross, South Carolina, Mr. Elian (Elouise) Borwn; Mrs. Lillian Brown, both of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, Mrs. Stella Cornish, of Los Angeles, California, Mrs. Clory Bell Borden, Mr. James (Daisy) Gethers; Mrs. Wilhelmina Wigfall, all of Long Island, New York, Mr. Sam Nelson, Mr. Johnny Richardson, Mr. Clarence (Lucille) Nelson, all of Cross, Mr. Joseph Richardson, of Pineville, South Carolina; two grandaunts, Mrs. Sarah Weldon and Mrs. Louise Brown, both of Ridgeville, South Carolina and a host of other relatives and friends.
